About the role

We're looking for a Project Lead to drive our most important cross-functional initiatives from initiation through to delivery.

You'll work across engineering, compliance, product, and commercial teams to coordinate complex projects — new product launches, regulatory programmes, and infrastructure migrations. This is not a passive coordination role: you'll be expected to remove blockers, hold teams accountable, and make calls when things are unclear. You'll report to the COO.

What you'll do

  • Own the planning and delivery of strategic projects across multiple teams and workstreams.
  • Define scope, milestones, and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Run structured weekly project reviews and keep status reporting accurate and actionable.
  • Identify risks early and drive mitigations before they become blockers.
  • Facilitate decisions when teams are stuck — escalating to the COO only when necessary.
  • Run retrospectives and embed learnings into how the next project is set up.

What we're looking for

  • 4+ years leading cross-functional projects in a fast-moving technology or fintech company.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and keep multiple workstreams on track.
  • Strong stakeholder management — comfortable challenging senior leaders when needed.
  • Clear, structured communicator who can adapt style for engineers, compliance teams, and executives.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and able to create structure where none exists.
  • The right to work in the UK. We cannot sponsor visas for this role.

Nice to Have

Experience delivering regulatory or compliance-driven programmes.

Familiarity with engineering delivery processes — sprints, kanban, or similar.

Background in payments, fintech, or financial services.

The interview process

    Intro call — 30 minutes

    With our Talent Lead. We'll talk about your project experience and what you're looking for.

  2. 02

    Case study interview — 60 minutes

    With the COO. Walk us through a complex project you've led — what went well, what didn't, and what you'd change.

  3. 03

    Stakeholder panel — 60 minutes

    With leads from engineering, compliance, and commercial. Scenario-based questions on prioritisation and conflict resolution.

  4. 04

    Offer — within 5 working days

    Feedback either way, always. The whole process takes about three weeks.
