About the role

This is a second Compliance & Risk Analyst position with a focus on operational risk and card scheme compliance.

You'll work alongside our existing compliance analyst to manage our risk framework, support scheme audits, and ensure our acquiring and processing operations meet the requirements of Visa, Mastercard, and our FCA obligations. You'll report to the Head of Compliance and collaborate closely with engineering and operations.

What you'll do

  • Manage ongoing card scheme compliance obligations including PCI DSS monitoring and reporting.
  • Support internal risk assessments and maintain the company's risk register.
  • Review and respond to chargeback and retrieval requests within scheme deadlines.
  • Coordinate with engineering to ensure new product features meet compliance requirements by design.
  • Prepare materials for board-level risk reporting and regulatory requests.
  • Stay current with FCA publications, scheme bulletins, and industry guidance.

What we're looking for

  • 2+ years in a compliance or operational risk role within payments or financial services.
  • Solid understanding of PCI DSS requirements and card scheme rules.
  • Experience managing chargeback processes and scheme dispute workflows.
  • Highly detail-oriented with strong documentation and record-keeping habits.
  • Ability to translate regulatory requirements into practical operational guidance.
  • The right to work in the UK. We cannot sponsor visas for this role.

Nice to Have

PCI QSA or ISA certification, or experience working with a QSA.

Experience at a payment facilitator, acquirer, or e-money institution.

ICA or ACAMS qualification.

    Technical interview — 60 minutes

    With the Head of Compliance. Deep dive into PCI DSS, scheme rules, and operational risk scenarios.

  3. 03

    Stakeholder interview — 45 minutes

    With our COO and Head of Engineering to assess cross-functional collaboration.

  4. 04

    Offer — within 5 working days

    Feedback either way, always. The whole process takes about three weeks.
