Product Designer
Own the merchant onboarding journey, from signup to first transaction.
About the role
This is a second Product Designer role focused on our merchant onboarding and self-serve flows.
Thousands of merchants sign up to Cashless every month and the experience of getting from signup to first transaction needs to be fast, clear, and low-friction. You'll own that journey end to end — from the web signup flow and document upload to the first dashboard session. You'll be embedded in a cross-functional squad and report to the Lead Designer.
What you'll do
- Own the design of our merchant onboarding journey across web and mobile.
- Map the current onboarding experience, identify friction points, and redesign with evidence.
- Run usability tests with new merchants and iterate quickly based on findings.
- Work closely with the compliance team to design flows that meet KYB requirements without unnecessary friction.
- Contribute components and patterns to the shared design system.
- Collaborate daily with frontend engineers to deliver a high-quality, accessible implementation.
What we're looking for
- 3+ years of product design experience with a focus on flows, forms, and user onboarding.
- A portfolio demonstrating thoughtful UX decisions — not just polished visuals.
- Proficiency in Figma, including auto-layout, components, and prototyping.
- Experience running your own user research and translating findings into design decisions.
- Strong attention to detail and a high bar for interaction quality.
- The right to work in the UK. We cannot sponsor visas for this role.
Nice to Have
Experience designing identity verification or document upload flows.
Familiarity with accessibility standards and inclusive design practices.
Background in regulated products where compliance and UX must coexist.
