Senior Frontend Engineer
Build fast, intuitive interfaces that power the next generation of Cashless AI products.
About the role
The Cashless AI dashboard is where merchants start their day: yesterday's takings, today's settlements, the terminals that are online, the bills we've consolidated for them. It has to be fast, calm and correct — on a laptop in an office and on a phone behind a counter.
You'll own that surface. You'll work directly with our product designer and the payments backend team, and you'll have real say over the architecture, the component library and what we stop doing. This is a senior role in a team of six engineers, reporting to our Head of Engineering.
What you'll do
- Build and ship merchant-facing features across the dashboard — payouts, disputes, terminal management and consolidated billing.
- Own our React component library: accessibility, dark mode, and the design tokens shared with the EPOS apps.
- Hold the line on performance — Core Web Vitals budgets, bundle size, and sub-second transaction tables at 50,000 rows.
- Shape API contracts with the payments team before they're built, not after.
What we're looking for
- 5+ years building production web applications, with deep React and TypeScript experience.
- A track record of owning a product surface end to end — not just implementing tickets handed to you.
- Strong CSS and layout fundamentals, and genuine care about how the result looks and feels.
- Clear written communication — half the team is remote and most decisions happen in writing.
- The right to work in the UK. We cannot sponsor visas for this role.
Nice to Have
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
Open-source contributions or research publications.
Background in fintech or SaaS products.
